The Curators of the University of Missouri (the "University of Missouri System") contracts with E-Lucid to provide a portfolio website with licensing and communication functionalities using the E-Lucid platform to make available licensable technologies from the University of Missouri System's constituent university, the University of Missouri-St. Louis.  (In these Terms of Use The University of Missouri System and its constituent university, the University of Missouri-St. Louis are referred to as "UMSL").


Personal Information

E-Lucid collects both required and voluntary personal information from visitors who wish to send inquiries, receive technology subscription emails or license technologies from UMSL.  E-Lucid stores this information on its servers and may share this data with UMSL via access to the E-Lucid software application or by some other form, such as written reports or by email. How UMSL uses this information is governed by its own policies. E-Lucid will only use this information on behalf of UMSL and not for E-Lucid's own or other purposes.


Payment Card Information

Payments for UMSL technologies are processed through the University of Missouri System's uPay.umsystem.edu site, which utilizes TouchNet to facilitate necessary payment transactions to complete your order. Neither E-Lucid nor UMSL stores payment card information collected during the checkout process.


UMSL Privacy Policy

When ordering licensable technologies, UMSL requests your name, address, email address and phone number so that we may contact you to fulfill your order, respond to your inquiry, and/or for future communications via email. You are not required to provide this information. However, without it we will not be able to contact you regarding additional information that may be needed to complete license execution or respond to your request or inquiry.  UMSL may also use individual or summary data for data analysis, reporting, and other non-commercial purposes.

The policy of UMSL’s administrative and collegiate web sites is to respect and protect the privacy of the students, staff, faculty, and other users to the extent permitted by law. The information you provide is used to fulfill your specific request. This information is only used to fulfill your specific request, unless you give us permission to use it in another manner; for example, to add you to a mailing list.


Distribution of Information

We may share information with governmental agencies or other companies assisting us in fraud prevention or investigation. We may do so when: (1) permitted or required by law; or, (2) trying to protect against or prevent actual or potential fraud or unauthorized transactions; or, (3) investigating fraud which has already taken place. The information is not provided to companies for marketing purposes.

Please be aware that neither E-Lucid nor UMSL is responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites.  We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information.  This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this web site.


Traffic Data

E-Lucid also collects traffic data from across the E-Lucid platform, including HTTP headers and browser cookies of visitors. E-Lucid reserves the right to share traffic data specific to UMSL with UMSL.  E-Lucid also reserves the right to share anonymous aggregations and compilations of traffic data for the purposes of marketing, software performance testing and reporting, and market analysis. If any personal information is associated with traffic data, it will be treated as personal information.

Like many sites, UMSL uses browser cookies to maintain a persistent session for visitors across the E-Lucid platform and for traffic data collection purposes.
